What is Nightshift Codex?
Nightshift Codex is a torch-lit search game where nothing you see counts until you write it down.
- Drag or steer a flickering lamp across a dark wing. Marks exist only inside the light: objects left behind, traces, words someone said.
- Press E on a lit mark and a drawer card opens. File it in Cold Case, Records or Testimony. Right drawer scores, wrong drawer scores less, closing unfiled scores nothing and the mark stays on the floor.
- Every third codex line opens a sealed door that was shut before you arrived. The codex persists across cases in your browser.
- The lamp holds 84 seconds of oil and every pulse burns it. How you spend light is the whole game.
Keyboard or touch. A run takes one to three minutes. No downloads, no accounts, no external assets.
