What is Ember Lock?
Ember Lock is a 60-second stealth game about spending light you can't get back.
You carry one flame. It is the only way to find the clues scattered in the room — and the only thing the hunter can see. Turn it on and the room appears; the hunter starts moving toward you, and burns your ember twice as fast once it has laid eyes on you.
So you find a clue in the light, then carry it into the dark and stand perfectly still for two heartbeats to lock it into the vault. A carried clue is noisy: it calls the hunter from a distance. A locked print is permanent — and every lock shortens your lamp's reach, so the room gets stricter as you get richer.
- Lock all four prints to end the night. The score is the ember you never burned.
- Every failure tells you which coupling caught you: a lit lamp, a loud carried clue, or an ember spent to zero.
- Seeded rooms: same seed, same room. A new room every run.
- Keyboard or touch, one file, no downloads.
